Laurel Babb Retirement
Laurel Babb RetirementLaurel Babb, principal at Cambridge Elementary School, has announced her retirement, effective August 31, 2016.

“It has been a privilege and honor to serve this outstanding district. Ending my educational career at the school I attended as a child has been a joyful journey. This exceptional district will remain in my thoughts and prayers as I enter a new chapter in my life, and I know those who remain will continue to touch lives and prepare children to serve in ways that matter. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this exciting and meaningful work,” Laurel stated in her announcement to the Cambridge team and her AHISD colleagues.

Dr. Brown shared, “Laurel is not only an exceptional principal, but also an exceptional human being. She models dignity, grace and the strongest sense of caring for all individuals. I am grateful to her for the work that she has done and happy that she chose to end her distinguished career in Alamo Heights ISD at the same school she attended as a little girl.”

AHISD will begin the search for a new principal, seeking an exceptional candidate who can continue the great work occurring at Cambridge.
