BASICS OF THE BOND

The Alamo Heights Independent School District Board of Trustees has called for a $135 million bond issue election to be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Early voting is April 24 to May 2, 2017.  Early voting will be available in the AHISD Administration Building in the Board Room at 7101 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209.  Click here for more details on polling sites.

    Alamo Heights High School
    • Large multipurpose facility, including rocketry, STEM, maker space, classrooms, art, athletics (two gyms), dance studio, and JROTC
    • New Cafeteria, Culinary Arts classroom facility
    • Renovate home-side of stadium, locker rooms, new soccer field, softball dressing facility
    • Add approximately 50 parking spaces
    Alamo Heights Junior School
    • Construct new building for STEM, including 12 Classrooms, 3 Labs
    • Renovate Restrooms and Kitchen
    Woodridge Elementary
    • New Fine Arts Building, includes 6 Classrooms
    • Replace South Gym
    • Replace One Playground
    Cambridge Elementary
    • New Fine Arts Building, includes 6 Classrooms
    • Move Playground onto the campus
    • Install synthetic turf on field
    Howard Early Childhood Center
    • Renovate classrooms, new furniture
    • Kitchen, Dining Improvements
    • Security, site drainage, landscape
    Robbins Academy
    • Construct new regulation natatorium
    • Create outdoor area for Physical Education
    • Renovate Family Room

    DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS:
    • All classrooms remodeled district-wide to include new furniture, flooring and technology
    • Replace, maintain and expand technology, infrastructure
    • New library books, uniforms and instruments
    • Resurface Tennis Courts
    • Site Drainage and drought-resistant landscaping

    • New Buses, Maintenance Trucks, Equipment
