It’s Shark Tank but with high school entrepreneurs. It’s Pitch Night 2025.
On Thursday, April 24, five Alamo Heights HS Business Incubator teams will pitch their business concepts to a panel of judges who will award seed money. The stage event starts at 6 p.m. in the Alamo Heights High School auditorium, and the showcase and voting for wildcard teams begins at 5 p.m.
Watch the livestream of the stage event beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Tickets to attend Pitch Night can be purchased online in advance. Children and current AHISD students can attend at no cost. All proceeds benefit the Heights Business Incubator Program.
Teams have spent the last year developing and refining a product or service and now seek seed money to kickstart the next phase of their entrepreneurial journey.
Four finalists were selected to pitch their ideas on stage-
Eat Sancho's - Salsa Company
Pure Pop - Healthy Soda
Hat's On - Head protection gear for Rodeo Riders
OnGuard - Bluetooth Fanny Pack to help keep people safe when on walks or runs during the day or night.
A fifth Wild Card team will be invited to join them on stage based on votes from attendees-
Free Float - A personal flotation device for teens
Frost Guard - A heated blanket system that keeps your plants safe during cold weather
LandMark - A new age sleeping system that takes all of the benefits of a hammock without the back and neck pain.
NeutraZone - A spray that cleans the funk and bacteria from sports equipment
Chama - A clean energy drink
Clever Cover - A car cover that protects against hail damage
Eight additional teams will showcase their businesses at the event, in hopes of securing "Mule Money" for investment by the public.
Through the Business Incubator program, an innovative elective course, students have the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service. Entrepreneurs and business experts serve as volunteer coaches and mentors guiding student teams along with foundational business topics such as ideation, minimum viable product, marketing and finance.
