In an effort to
provide additional support to parents and children in the special
education program, AHISD has a Parent Liaison. Their role is to assist parents and staff with
communication, advocacy, resources and support.
The Parent Liaison works with parents to
form support networks and address
concerns and communication issues
that pertain to special education
students and families in the district.
With offices at the EDC, they maintain an electronic resource list for parents and staff. They partner with teachers at the various campuses to create opportunities to gather, get to know one another, and share concerns with other families. She welcomes your ideas, questions and concerns and invites you to become an active participant in your child's educational experience.
