Our district uses the School Messenger Notification System to better provide timely communication to parents and staff members on matters such as attendance, general interest activities and campus and district emergencies. You do not have to do anything to receive these messages.

Contact information for each family with a student in AHISD is already in the system; however, if you would like to customize the way you receive messages (home phone, cell phone, text, email) from the school, you may follow the instructions below. These instructions allow you to set up your profile using School Messenger’s App. This profile allows you to control the ways in which you prefer to be contacted. It also works like a mailbox, giving you a place to review messages you may have missed.

In order to utilize this feature simply follow the steps above to create an account through the secure App provided by School Messenger. Please keep in mind that all AHISD families’ contact information is already in School Messenger. If you do nothing, you will still be contacted using the contact information the campus has in its database.

Please note: that if you choose to customize the information that is in School Messenger, and change the information that is pulled over from our records in our system, it will stay that way in School Messenger until you go in and change it again. For example,  if you change your email address in HAC (Home Access Center) it will not change your email address in School Messenger if you have overwritten the original information that was in School Messenger at some point in time. You will have to log in and change that information in School Messenger as well.  It is always best practice to log into School Messenger and make sure that all of your information is correct.
